The sword was once the pinnacle of military might, evolving from the trusty dagger during the bronze age, the sword was the weapon of choice throughout the ages.
Different styles of blades have embedded themselves within every culture of the world.
The blade can be straight, curved or blunted.
Thrusting swords would have a pointed tip on the blade, and tend to be straighter;
Slashing swords have a sharpened cutting edge on one or both sides of the blade, and are more likely to be curved.
Many swords were designed for bludgeoning and fracturing bones.
